Then wake up my sweet, wake up knowing that your future is to be happy, and that your heart will heal. ~ Barbara Sontheimer

Its been a wild couple months since I posted. Its weird how life is. If you're on the wrong path absolutely nothing goes right. You struggle and stress trying to figure out whats going on. The past 2 years were that for me. One calamity after another. No time to even regroup. Life just slamming into you.

Two months ago I decided enough. I am going to heal my heart and move forward in life. For one thing I realized I wasnt as ready to retire as I thought. I did a little local art fair and really enjoyed it. I missed the creative process, the excitement of someone actually loving what I do. As soon as I came to that realization doors opened. One door in particular!

There is this wonderful concert venue, restaurant/ bar here in the southwest. Its called Whiskey Creek Zocalo. Its located on Hwy 180 in Arenas Valley, very close to Silver City. If you would like to check out their website and all the amazing shows that are coming up ~ www.whiskeycreekzocalo.com. Their address is 11786 Hwy 1809 East.

This place is magic. Its got its own unique vibe. The property has a restaurant with amazing wood fired pizza. A full service bar. two stages, one outside and one in. There's also a little room for small concerts, spoken word. My studio is located in the garden which also has a beautiful nursery with local plants and trees for sale. Did I mention there are goats! And chickens! And ducks! And dogs and even a beautiful wolf dog named Paulo.

I've definetly landed in a cool spot! I moved my studio about 3 weeks ago. Its been non stop since. Getting everything moved and settled in. I hadn't planned on having a shop again so I've had to reinvent my scene.

This set up is very similar to Cheyene Crossing. My building is 8 by 16 feet with 2 lofts for storage.

Lots of hand made curiosities placed in every nook and cranny. Im also going to be making ritual objects for ceremony. Things like rattles, obsidian knives, witch bottles. The skies the limit!

Ill also have lots of jewelry, leather, vintage hats and the bone art of course. I have been painting as well. Thats the beauty of not doing art shows anymore. I can make whatever I want. Im open to suggestions as well.

Im also representing local artist Shannon Curry. She is an amazing artist and person.

There have been alot of changes in my life. Love, family, myself. Im on a journey of self discovery and its very exciting and scary all at the same time. Im excited to see where this path takes me creatively and spiritually. If your in the Silver City are please come by the shop for my grand opening this Saturday, Valentines day, Feb. 14 from 2 til 5. After ,stick around, have dinner and dance to Frontera Bugalu' from El Paso. Heres a little taste!

I want to give a shout out to artist Nichole Graf for this fantastic flyer she made for me.

Im sorry I dont have any new work to show you this time. Next post I will I promise. Until then blessings to each one of you. May your hearts be full of joy.
